Guitarist Clay Hess was a Grammy winner after replacing Bryan Sutton in Ricky Skaggs' and Kentucky Thunder. He went on to be the stabilizing voice with teenage Sierra Hull and Highway 111, then played with Mountain Heart before starting his own band.
